Johnny Johnson takes Angler of the Year

Johnny Johnson takes Angler of the Year, winning 4 out of 7 tournaments, and taking two 2nd's and one 4th place finish. He also garnered two Big Fish awards and two 2nd Big Fish awards. Biggest fish was 3.94 lbs. Heavy stringer was 5 fish at 12.04 lbs.--- An incredible year!

Johnny Johnson wins Angler of the Year

Television host Johnny Johnson wins Angler of the Year for the first season of The White Mountain Bass Club Top Ten circuit. Johnson won four out of seven tournaments this year with two 2nd place finishes and one 4th place finish. It was an outstanding year for the television host, as he beat 2nd place angler Bob Swanson by nearly 30 points, stating that beating Swanson is "no small task.." Johnson ended up with 181.98 points to end the season.

James Guin takes Angler of the Year in the amateur division with six top 5 finishes- two 5th, one 3rd, one 1st. He also had one Big Fish award. Congratulations James!
Bob Swanson took 2nd in the race for Angler of the Year with an impressive six top five finishes culminating one 5th, two 4th, two 2nd, and one 1st place finish, into a very respectable 152.18 points on the season, beating 3rd place Doug Coplan by nearly 27 points. Congratulations to Bob on a great year!

Championship Tournament Results
Don Kleifgen took 1st place ( Pro Division ) with a total of 10.80 lbs in the two day bonus Championship tournament Oct. 13th & 14th at Willow Springs lake and Fool Hollow Lake respectively. His first day weight was 4.68, second day was 6.12 lbs. Fishing was good at Willow Springs until about 8am. At Fool Hollow Lake, fishing was good but slowed down after about 9am.

Reese Simpson took 1st place in the amateur division with a total weight of 10.50lbs. He fished the first day with Kleifgen

The Bass Club thought that Johnny Johnson was joking when he admitted to getting skunked the first day of the tournament. Though it was true, Johnson came back the second day with a stringer of 5 bass weighing in at 7.64 lbs to take 2nd place in the tournament. That was a close one!
Congratulations to all the anglers of the first White Mountain Bass Club Top Ten season. We are looking forward to next year!
Bob Swanson took 3rd place with 4.38 on the first day and 2.85 on the second day for a combined weight of 7.23 lbs.
