Johnny Johnson Takes Angler of the Year.. Two years in a row

Johnny Johnson Angler of the Year

Television host Johnny Johnson takes home the Angler of the Year award two years in a row, solidifying his crown after a 1st place win at Willow Springs Lake on Sept. 15th. Johnson ended up with 165.54 points after two 1st place, one 2nd place, and three third place finishes on the year. Way to go Johnny!

Nathan Koreny Amateur Angler of the Year

Nathan Koreny (Nate) takes home the Angler of the Year award for the amateur division, ending with 167.07 points after three 1st place, one 2nd place, and two 3rd place finishes. Great job by Nathan!

Each angler recieved an original sketch from John Johnson Sr., to whom we are greatful for the many hours of work that he obviously put into them. Thanks a bunch John!


Championship Tournament


Stan Culling, 1st place

Stan Culling managed to to combine 17.19 lbs. of fish in the two-day championship bonus tournament to take first place and both of the Big Fish awards on the second day at Fool Hollow Lake. Stan and amateur partner Larry Kress had an outstanding day while most of the other anglers found a tough day of fishing. What was his secret?... He wouldn't say.

Kenny Donaldson and Doug Coplan

2nd place goes to Pro Doug Coplan (right) and amateur Kenny Donaldson. Doug ended up with a combined weight of 10.02 lbs over two days and Kenny brought in 8.07 lbs for the amateur division.

Johnny Johnson 3rd place Pro Division

Johnny Johnson takes 3rd in the Pro division bringing in 6.21 lbs. Johnny has not placed below 3rd place in any tournament this year.

Nathan Koreny 3rd place amateur division

Nathan Koreny takes 3rd in the amateur division with a two-day weight of 7.68 lbs. Nathun has also not placed lower than third place in any tournament this year.
