New-Timer Tournament Results

The New-Timer Tournament was a hit with 11 teams showing up at Fool Hollow Lake May 15th, 2005. The New-Timer Tournament is for contestants who have never entered a White Mountain Bass Club tournament get a chance to fish with current members and does not count towards points in the Top Ten tournament race.

Guy Hartman and partner Mike Northrop managed to overtake 2004 Angler of the Year Johnny Johnson and his partner Neal Howard with a last minute catch in front of the crowd waiting for the weigh-in, ending up with 6.63 lbs. to take 1st place.

2nd place went to television host Johnny Johnson and partner Neal Howard with 6.47 lbs.

3rd place went to Jon Coplan and partner Ty Coplan with 5.70 lbs. New-Timer Ty Coplan also brought in the Big Fish of the day weighing 3.50 lbs. Great job Ty!

Doug Coplan Starts off with a Bang!

Doug Coplan 1st

Doug Coplan and amateur Walt Coplan start off the year with a win, bringing in the Big Fish of the day at 5.63 lbs. and a stringer full of fish weighing in at 11.30 lbs. on what was a slow day of fishing for most of the Top Ten club. Doug missed the Angler of the Year award last year to television host Johnny Johnson by just a few tenths of a point and is surely gunning for Johnny this year, who finished 5th in this tournament, giving Doug a great head-start.

Guy Hartman 2nd place

2nd Place goes to Pro Guy Hartman and amateur partner Dean Hartman with 9.95 lbs.

Nathun Koreny 3rd

3rd place goes to pro Nathun Koreny and amateur Jon Coplan with 8.27 lbs. Big Fish: 4.81 lbs.
