Can You Say.. HOT?

Two Consecutive WMBC Record-Setting Tournaments For Television Host Johnny Johnson.

Johnny Johnson and Reese Simpson 1st place

After a 1st place win in the ABF tournament at Roosevelt Lake on April 22nd with partner Reese Simpson and another 1st place win at Fool Hollow Lake on April 30th for the White Mountain Bass Club Family Tournament with his father John Johnson Sr., at which a new record for the largest limit of bass ever brought in was broken, Johnny Johnson and partner Reese Simpson broke yet another WMBC record May 7th on Rainbow Lake, bringing in a huge limit of bass weighing in at 20.75 lbs., breaking his own record just barely a week old. Johnny also broke the record for the biggest bass ever brought in, previously held by Don Kleifgen (7.58 lbs.), raising the bar with a 8.26 lbs. HAWG!

Johnny Johnson and Reese Simpson 1st place

Congratulations to Johnny and Reese on a SMOKIN' month!

Doug Coplan and Walt Coplan 2nd Place

15.43 lbs of bass would normally win you a tournament at Rainbow Lake. It wasn't enough for partners Doug Coplan and Walt Coplan, though much credit is due for a great limit of fish, bringing them in at 2nd place.

Great job guys!

Russell Williams and Calvin Williams 3rd place.

3rd place comes in at a 11.36 lbs. limit brought in by Russell and Calvin Williams, yet another good limit of bass brought in on Rainbow Lake this tournament.

Big Fish this tournament: May 7th, Rainbow Lake

Johnny Johnson at 8.26 lbs. (new record).
